Pumpkin farm

Here are some photos of my pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch. We went to the Happy Apple Farm again this year because they were open the day we wanted to go. :) This year we talked to the owner. He said although he grows his own pumpkins, they are often gone by early season, so he brings some in from a farm in Pueblo that does not have the public in. We picked ours from the vines. They were great. Well, Phoebe picked one from the box..... everyone else got them from a vine. :) They also have a large apple orchard and berry bushes. At this time the season for those are over and if there are any left they let you pick them. We had fun eating raspberries and black berries. Many were still good, but lots were sour. Fun times though. Here are some

Keep on the Sunny Side

The Whites - Keep on the Sunny Side
(Depression Era song)

There's a dark & a troubled side of life
There's a bright, there's a sunny side, too
Tho' we meet with the darkness and strife
The sunny side we also may view

[cho:] Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life
It will help us ev'ry day, it will brighten all the way
If we'll keep on the sunny side of life

The storm and its fury broke today,
Crushing hopes that we cherish so dear;
Clouds and storms will, in time, pass away
The sun again will shine bright and clear.
Let us greet with the song of hope each day
Tho' the moment be cloudy or fair
Let us trust in our Saviour away
Who keepeth everyone in His care
